About
Dr. Alexandra Dolea, BA, MA
I am an archaeologist, mentor, and science communicator with nearly 20 years of experience in academia. After transitioning to freelancing, I established a new professional path.
My journey into mentoring results from my ongoing dedication to personal and professional growth. My mentoring philosophy is founded on being kind, effective, empowering, inspirational, and responsive.
In addition to mentoring and archaeology, I dedicate my time to popularizing science, volunteering for various international organizations (including Professional Women Network Vienna & Global, Women of Vienna, and Early Career Archaeologists), and fostering community connections.

Jobs
My professional career began during my studies in Romania, where I participated in numerous archaeological missions and collaborated with academic institutions.
Since 2010, I have joined international research projects in Turkey, Greece, and Austria.
By the age of 30, I became the field director of an excavation site, successfully coordinating and managing the excavation project and team.
In 2023, I transitioned to freelancing, challenging traditional academic paths in archaeology by creating my own business.
At the same time, I officially became a mentor for early-career archaeologists and professional women transitioning to entrepreneurship.
